I wish I had a dollar for every basketball expert on this site who told us over and over that Tyler Cook’s game would not transfer to the NBA. Somebody even guaranteed he would not sniff the court in the league. Tyler Cook is starting for the Chicago bulls tonight. Congratulations to Tyler for believing in himself. He never gave up on his dream. Glad I got to cheer him at CHA!

Glad the NBA appreciates a good dunker.
Hoop, what's your future prognostications on Josh Ogundele making an NBA team after his playing time is over. Always enjoy the remarks of someone who has the insight you have....

Tyler is doing a great job defending Freak.
But Van Gundy mentioned two bad calls that have gone against Tyler.
He has made himself a solid defender against guys like LeBron and Freak...the elite players in the league.
He has come a long way.

I hope everyone has been watching the Bulls this year. Such an entertaining and well coached team. I'm so happy for TC. Didn't think he'd have an NBA career but its clear he put his work in. His body is filled out and plays under control. Still has some of the same defensive rotation problems but he doesn't force any shots and he has really worked his ass off (with some luck w roster injuries) and made a spot for himself in the NBA. He wont make playoff roster but he should hang around for rest of regular season

Also **** grayson allen

I thought no way in hell that he would play in the league.

You can look up my post history.

I’ve always thought that Cook could carve a place in the NBA but it wouldn’t come easy. Glad to see he is taking his game to an even higher level.

His path to becoming an NBA starter was not an easy one. Yet he persevered and never gave up. Must have been discouraging to keep getting cut. We could all learn a lesson from this young man. He accepted coaching and made himself a better player and found his role.

Unfortunately for college basketball fans, I think it is true that potential NBA talents take their
game to G-league and learn what the league values. Cook was correct to leave early and get his game
optimized for NBA...improving his defense was always going to be an issue and Fran is not known as a man-to-man defense guru...Cook made a smart move and he apparently worked hard. Great to see him succeed.

Kris Murray might be better off in G-league if Fran prefers keeping him on the bench. With Keegan being a top pick and Kris athletiticsm/skills not that far off, I wouldn't be surprised if an NBA team would sign Kris to G-league.
