LAKE VIEW, IOWA: 34-year-old Stefanie Regine Kelsey from Sac City, Iowa was arrested by the Sac County Sheriff's Office on Friday March 11, 2022, for three counts of sexual abuse third degree. Sexual abuse in the third degree is a class “C” felony. Sheriff officials allege that Kelsey, who was a teacher at East Sac County High School in Lake View, had been having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student of hers. The relationship started sometime after the school year started.

Sheriff’s officials were notified on March 10, 2022, by a concerned parent after hearing rumors about the relationship. Sheriff McClure says that after talking with the concerned parent, an investigation was opened. East Sac County School administrators fully cooperated and assisted the Sac County Sheriffs’ Office with their investigation.

Stefanie Kelsey was booked in the Sac County Jail on a $30,000.00 bond. Kelsey posted bond and was released from jail pending a future court date.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
