The Tennessee Vols have brought in like 6 PWOs. 2 were 3 stars with double digit offer lists. They’ve figured out, through NIL deals, a way around scholarship limits. They’re leaving their scholarships open for potential transfers, and bringing these guys in as PWOs on paper. If the scholarship doesn’t get filled by a transfer, the PWO will have dibs at an actual scholarship, but still reap the benefits of a scholarship player via NIL. If SEC teams start doing this to the extreme, game over. Schools like Bama and Georgia are gonna have 200 dudes if this doesn’t get regulated. This will absolutely murder mid majors and mid to lower level FBS teams.
