I included 1979 which was a shared title. I suspect that accounts for the difference.

Apologies for my lack of clarity. Iowa State has seen the second weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament more than Iowa in recent memory, so it is a little silly to deflect any shade toward that particular program.
I guess I was thinking that a lot of those coaches are gone, but probably a good share moved on on their own account, probably for greener pastures. But some were canned. More than probably should have been.
