He’s actually right about being a better guitar player than Joan Jett.

I absolutely love Joannie, her music, her 1950s style and attitude. 100% deserves her spot in the HOF. But she’s pedestrian at guitar in comparison with loony Uncle Ted. Rhythm player, not a lead shredder like TN.

Saw Ted a few times back in the 70’s, Always put on a very good high energy show, While he was never really allowed to show his chops while in Ted’s band Derek St. Holmes is IMO the more accomplished guitar player of the two.

He was amazing when I saw him live in ‘85, so was Joannie in ‘88.

Both high energy, maximum rock n roll shows. I would’ve gone to see Ted again if not for his insane onstage political rants. I don’t want that at a show regardless of ‘sides’.
