If Terry ever leaves it will be to coach USA.
And that 2 timer will likely be a 4 timer before he even starts fall semester at Iowa.
Minnesota does seem like a good fit for Terry. As a wrestling fan, I can't imagine anything more exciting in wrestling then a legit Terry vs Tom rivalry as opposing coaches. How much fun would that be?

Bingo. Imagine how heated it could get. Terry needs to spread his wings. I thought he'd be a good fit for Fresno. Mr. Steiner is a good fit however.

I am outside the Hawk nation and I do not think he is Tom's inferior. I have a ton of respect for a guy who wants to work with kids/men and doesn't need the glory or the spotlight on him.

The only possible thing he would ever leave for is HC of USA freestyle which he just turned down. I think it's pretty set in stone that he'll be in IC the next 7 years(Nelson) unless there is a life changing event.

Word on the street is he can't handle the pressure of running a program by himself...or I should say handle the pressure of making the calls.

Terry is a mat guy. He likes working with wrestlers. There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to be "just" a mat coach. He has a great gig, does well for his family and continues to build a great reputation in the sport. He was a pick for the USA job. That I know. Did he decline, did they not come to terms or whatever I don't know. The world needs more people who love what they do and Terry is fortunate to be in that place.
I don't see minni as a good fit for him. He would be a great head coach but I don't know he would be happy. The current set up is perfect for both. Maybe that changes but for now, it is a dream.

Family is important to this bunch. Grandma Bonnie relocated to IC ONLY when T&T were BOTH settled in town. Now there are grandchildren/grandparent relationships to consider as well as uprooting kids from schools.
Add the above to the fact that Terry, apparently, prefers to operate in more of a coaching and less managerial capacity than expected of a D-1 head coach.
