Thanks FBI!!!!

you would think so, especially with the money involved in college football.

remember Cam Newton/Auburn and that scandal?
The "3-stripe Life" is something that a lot of recruits would throw around on social media. Remember MICHIGAN was an Adidas school up to a year ago! Hmmmmmmmmmm

I don't think any Big Ten School will be implicated in this mess. From what I can determine, Evans at OSU is accused of steering current players to a specific financial advisor. He is not accused of paying recruits. Evans worked for Martin at South Carolina and was a legacy assistant for the current Illinois coach when he was at OSU. He never worked for underwood when he was at SFA, and underwood didn't bring him to Illinois.

One thing that can reasonably be concluded from this though ... Bruce Pearl is likely crooked as a stick in water. Jeez. Also, AZ assist. was pulling his shenanigans when Lute was there.

Please let this lead to Carolina and Duke. Please....
Remember boys.....Michigan football lived that 3-stripe life up until a year ago! Harbaugh is as dirty in recruiting as anyone

I posted this several times here: abolish college athletics, just organize intermurrals twice a year, like other (normal) countries. Get cheating our of academics.

Hard to believe Kentucky not involved in this mess....
Kentucky doesn't need help recruiting, you can rip on Coach Cal all you want but the kids he brings in have been great kids and of high character. Duke on the other hand has had some scumbags. I can't think of anyone Cal has brought in that was a bad kid, can you?

Didn't he get in trouble for Marcus Camby at UMASS and Derrick Rose at Memphis

Not bad guys but it's not like trouble hasn't surfaced at the places he's been

@JonRothstein: Rick Pitino has released a statement, per his attorney.

"Sources from three separate universities told the Sun-Times that Davis Sr. asked for money in return for his son's commitment, with the amounts ranging from $125,000 to $150,000."

Did you read the article? A disgruntled writer with unnamed this and unnamed that. And allegedly this and allegedly that. That some solid reporting. The NCAA looked into it and found the guy just wasted their time. Try again.

Again, nothing to worry about. :) Today is a good day to enjoy being a clean program and just watch the start of the cheaters going down.

And the next time somebody says something like, "We missed" on a Charlie Moore type....just be glad.

This. When you see recruitments like Brian Bowen's or Moore's that don't make any sense, you know there's shady stuff going on.

I hope Pitino keeps releasing statements. What is worse than a POS? Rick Pitino.

Minny better hope the apple did fall a little ways from the tree.

For those old enough, how does this compare with the SMU football scandal?

The severity remains to be seen....but that was one school. This has the possibility of decimating several (many?) programs, including some elite programs. It all depends on who has what evidence and who is willing to roll over on their bosses.

Thankfully, I can only think of one shady recruitment at Iowa in the last 20+ years and that was by Curly when Alford was still at Iowa.
