Per KF after the game. I like KF. I think he is a great guy and a fantastic representative of the U of I and the state of Iowa. But no Kirk, that is not how football goes. That is how incredibly conservative, play behind the sticks offensive football goes. NW has a garbage defense and your offense just scored 10 points and put anybody that watched to sleep. Please don’t try to convince the fanbase that that is how football goes. That is a total cop out and a lack of accountability.

Yeah but I'm bothered by his answer. He goes on to say if the defense held them to one less point then we would have won. You know, maybe he rips the offense out of the media (and I would be fine with that) but that whole group needs to be chewed out. They ARE the reason we aren't winning games like today and MSU. Heck, PSU too.

For what it's worth, I think an appropriate answer would be that the defense didn't deserve to lose that game and leave it at that.
