The 20 point spread seems like

a lot to me. If we 10 points ahead, Wadley is going to get mighty tired.

From the Illinois games ive seen, they're terrible at tackling. I think wadley goes nuts and hawks cover 30-7 type of game. Then again, we're us so I'm sure I'm wrong

The "logic" of the football betting public amazes me. Iowa getting 20 against any one is enough to make me shy away. If Iowa wins 28-10, Illinois cashes. 28 is a lot of points for Iowa.
No kidding, when I read Iowa was favored by 20 points, I assumed they thought we'd be pitching a shutout.

The weather WILL be bad, which makes it hard to pass, and Lovie has a defensive coaching background. He is going to run blitz every single down and dare us to throw it.

We could be in for a real battle, here.

Maybe we score on defense? That is the only way I see us covering the spread.

Twelve passes have resulted in touchdowns this season, more than Wadley has scored.

He said "score quickly". How many of those TD passes were plays longer than 40 yards? I think his point is that Wadley is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

Illinois is a horrendous football team. They are one of, if not the, worst teams in the P5 conferences.

They are pretty bad and trending down by the week. Going with another QB; Lovie getting desperate. I could see Iowa winning 28-10 and not covering the spread though.

The forecasts I'm seeing are chilly with some wind, but no rain during game time. It's not that bad, really.
Everything I've seen (KCRG/weather channel) shows very good chance of rain into the afternoon. This is an 11 am kickoff.

Weather's variable and there is a good chance of wetness. Hourly forecasts are almost worthless, they just help clarify the timing of when things are expected. Just thought I'd share a more positive outlook I'd come accross.

This forecast has no rain in the 10-2'o clock hours.

But whatever it turns out to be, I think its impact on the game is overrated.

Assuming that it does rain: If they were starting Chase Crouch I would say it's overrated since he's mobile and can run but Jeff George Jr is a pocket passer so the rain would definitely be an advantage to us there

Will probably drop $20 on Iowa ATS tomorrow morning. Still debating. Same with Nebraska straight up. +303 is hard to pass up, even if Nebraska has a dumpster fire in their athletics department right now.

Iowa fan living in IC. Can't decide whether I'm gonna cheer for Nebraska tomorrow because if I think we can make a run I will but if not, no way I cheer for them. Probably won't cheer for Nebraska though, just because we still have OSU and Wisconsin on the schedule

Yeah, I'd probably throw like $10 on Nebraska, make it a win/win situation. Don't think I'd throw a car payment on them, though.

I hear ya. I wasn't suggestion what you should do, just giving an opinion on my rooting interest. Basically if we would've beaten MSU convincingly I'd cheer for Nebraska but now I'm cheering for Wisconsin

It seems about right, fellow Hawkeye fans, when you consider how young Illinois is. This should allow our hogs to control the trenches and open up gaping holes for our studs to slide into.

Sadly, Iowa's O-line has shown me nothing. Illinois will practice all week to beat Iowa, just like PSU and MSU did. I don't think they will walk into Kinnick awed.
