The 2025 RAGBRAI route has been announced.

I leaning towards this one.
Just a bunch of fat asses, amirite?

I bike a lot myself but let's be honest here.

Any fat ass can squeeze into biker shorts and get on a bike. I mean look at Ragbrai. Tons of older people. Many of the women are 50ish and totally out of shape. Bulging spandex from top to bottom and boozing it up at every turn.

I have much more respect for ultra runners or even those that run 10ks. Heck even 5ks.

Why do they never ride east to west? Pitch of the land, wind, etc?
A lot of them are super drunk, so you have to keep it easy. Ride east into the sun at the start of the day to establish the herd. Sun at your back as the buzz heightens.

It doesn’t start at the Missouri River this time? That’s weird.

They'll bring some water from the Missouri to Boring City, I mean Orange City and people will be able to dip their tires in that before embarking. It's pretty lame but become the norm for starting cities that aren't close to the river. If you've done never done RAGBRAI I'd feel a little shorted in the experience but it's also not a big deal to ride 30-40 miles over on Saturday to get the real dip if you want.

It's going to be short and flat this year. It will be a nice respite for those that couldn't hack last year's climbs. I expect a good turn-out. Nice route once you get out of Northwest Iowa.

Cedar Falls will be rocking, no doubt about that. Not a lot of other experience on the route besides Orange City.

Depending on how they do Forest City > Iowa Falls > Cedar Falls, that could be a fantastic stretch. Probably best to go off route though after that so you don’t get methed up by the locals in yet another shitty town in Iowa that begins with O!

A bunch of you sure are salty about “Dutch hospitality”. Sad that adults can’t have fun without booze.

Do not @ me about ⬆️ if you don’t get the joke.
