Iowa (2-2) at Penn State (0-5) .... Hopefully, the Hawkeyes can add to the Nittany Lions losing streak, like 1983, when Joe Pa went 0-3 for the first time.
Four games to watch this week per The Athletic:
No. 9 Indiana at No. 3 Ohio State, Noon ET, Fox: Who would have guessed beating Indiana (4-0) would do more for the Buckeyes’ résumé than trouncing Penn State (0-4)? Despite the Hoosiers’ impressive start, they opened as a 20-point underdog.
No. 10 Wisconsin at No. 19 Northwestern, 3:30 p.m., ABC: Whoever wins this game is probably going to win the Big Ten West — provided the Badgers don’t get another game canceled. They’re already at the minimum to be eligible for the conference title game.
No. 14 Oklahoma State at No. 18 Oklahoma, 7:30 p.m., ABC: The Cowboys (5-1, 4-1 in Big 12) could all but eliminate their rivals (5-2, 4-2 Big 12) from conference title game contention, but the Sooners have won four games in a row, and Mike Gundy holds a 2-13 Bedlam record.
No. 7 Cincinnati at UCF, 3:30 p.m., ESPN: This may be the biggest test to date for the undefeated Bearcats, whose fourth-ranked defense will try to neutralize a Dillon Gabriel-led UCF offense averaging a national-best 619.1 yards per game.
