The B1G Today

Iowa State is not better then Iowa, that was proved on the field. Who cares what ISU is playing like today. And if they played Iowa again today, Iowa would win again because both schools are playing better now then they were then. Iowa's offense is leaps and bounds what it was then and defense is just as good so it would be a wash. I think the margin of victory would be more then it was. ISU, there is always next year to look forward to. Now worry about the games you have in front of you instead of the ones in the past. Believe it or not, but Iowa State was the best team WVU has played, and that ain't saying much. WVU will probably have at least 3 or 4 losses by years end, afterall, they still have TCU, Texas and Oklahoma, and I think they will lose all three.

Uh...NO! ISU is the best team Iowa has played so far. Unfortunately it was the 1st game for ISU. It was just a tough lightning break that cost the Clones multiple wins this year. I guess we will just have to win out.

BTW, In the last year Iowa State’s Matt Campbell now has 3 wins as a head coach against AP Top-6 opponents…

That’s as many as Jim Harbaugh (1), Chris Petersen (1) and Dana Holgorsen (1) have in their careers combined.

So, you guys are better than Wisconsin? Got it.
Yup, delusion has reached new heights in L'ames.

Lightning causes multiple losses? That could be the dumbest statement I have ever seen on this message board.

OSU’s defense is suspect. Pressure their QB and they’re very beatable.

I agree, our defense has been suspect the last three weeks, but to be fair the last two weeks we have played without 3 starters against Indy and 5 starters out against Minny. That's no excuse for the way they have been playing and it's definitely not Silver Bullet standards, plus the coaches on the defensive side of the ball have been extremely stubborn and not adjusting the scheme to the talent that we have. The most glaring observation is this defense misses Nick Bosa period! Hopefully he will be back by the Mich State game, that will give him that game, the Maryland game and the team up North to be in shape for the BiG Championship game and beyond.

As far as pressuring Haskins...TCU, Penn State and Minny are the teams that pressured him the most and he ended up with 300+, 300+ and 400+ passing yards and multiple TD passes. This weekend against Purdue will tell a lot about how the rest of our season is going to go.( Never thought I would ever say a game against Purdue could be a deciding factor in a season for OSU!) I am concerned about the running game, but if we can figure that out, we will be just fine.

Don't care, I am happy for Coach Campbell if you are happy about it. No, ISU is not the best team Iowa has played, Wisconsin would beat ISU. I doubt ISU's defensive line could go toe to toe with the Badger line for 4 qtrs.
