The chair of Wyoming Republican Party suggested over the weekend that his state could consider seceding from the union following Congresswoman Liz

We should let them. Let them go.

Then refuse to have any trade deals with them, no free passage of people and goods between their new “country” and the US and warn any foreign country that trading with Wyoming would lead to sanctions.

That would serve as a nice cautionary tale for other dumbasses who want to secede as Wyoming would quickly become a failed state with no economy and a starving population.

But by god they’d have their freedom!

I hope they keep the potatoes in mind during the decision-making process.

As long as there is a 5 year grace period in which any patriotic American who lives in Wyoming is allowed to move out of state and maintain their US Citizenship.

And when Wyoming decides inevitably that it wants to rejoin the union it rejoins the union as a territory, not as a state (So no senators, congressman, or presidential electors) and it's allowed to apply for statehood until it has a population higher than at least 5 other states.

Two excellent points.

Any Wyoming resident that wants to leave is free to do so, but the land stays with us,.. adios bitches.

So let’s say they secede, and there is no aggression from either side, what would they even bring to the table to survive as a nation? What exports do they have that the rest of the nation needs?

It really helps them to have so much coastline.

I wish we would let this happened just once. Shut them completely off from the till. Don't trade with them or allow any citizens to visit our country. Tell all of our trading partners to shut them off as well. Then when a citizen sneaks across the border, deport them straight to Mexico if they don't have a green card.
