And that really is the crux of it all. How China sold this to the liberal US media is a thing of beauty, and they are still eating it up.

It wasn’t the media. The US government no doubt investigated the origin in great depth. Whether they found something, or nothing, they did nothing about it. And, plenty of that investigation was done under Trump. Who loved blaming China for it, but did nothing but campaign rallies in response.

Jeesh. Just read the grant application. You might want to consider that some of the people studying this are devoting a lot of time and effort to it, and they are just as smart as you, or smarter, and have more expertise than you, and very impressive credentials. Are you willing to publicly say they believe dumb shit? Are you that arrogant? Oh, contagious isn't exactly the same as infectious. I would expect you to know that.
