I thought I’d try something light and non-analytical based resulting in this thread that displays a pic of a defensive play from the previous game.
#1. BK posterizes tOSU.
What are we seeing here? This is a great example of rim perfection, point prevention, by having a 2nd rim protector in floor (Garza is seen behind them), but what happened here?
When you get beat on the perimeter, (which may be the case here) and you know you have ample rim protection, and here you see Kriener’s -preventing- penetrator to finish at the rim, but having to make the adjustment of a short pull up, and if your a diligent head hunter, you trail and wait in ambush, and as the penetrating player stop to shoot, you absolutely posterize his shot from behind.
That is what we call point prevention, rim protection and a complete dominating defensive play, in which Iowa’s chances of success go up with defense like this.
Let me know if this is the kind of defense you like? and if this is the kind of defense that can carry a team at tMSU and into a #1-2 seed in BTT? and #3 seed in NC2A..?
