It's a bit of a trap game.

We're riding high and playing our best basketball against good competition. On the road, no less.

We just witnessed Wisconsin's Senior Night failure and would be wise to take all of it in.

It will be a very special night, if and only if, we dispose of PSU. The pre game ceremony and all of the glad tidings and applause don't guarantee anything. The other team will be trying to close out their season on a high note.

Don't give them that pleasure. Play the scrappiest game of the year. We've got momentum, seemingly, on our side. Keep it there.

Give us one day to celebrate before posting this stuff :( Last night was not senior night for Wisky, but Ped State is a trap game. These boys know what they're playing for though. GO HAWKS!

Penn state is always a trap game it's always close for some reason and goes down to a last second shot. We need Aaron white for this game.

PSU has some scary good players but we should take care of them, not easily but Jok goes out a winner.

This is a game that Jok has to take over. Its his last game at Carver and he should go out a Winner. Iowa can pound the ball down low against PSU. We play better when we move the ball inside/Out as opposed to just passing around the perimeter.

At this point, I think the players have bought into this mindset that every game is an elimination game as far as the NCAA tourney is concerned.

Lol. This is kind of a who pissed in your Cheerios? type of post the day after a big road win. But yeah, I get what you're saying, I just don't believe a let down will be the reason (God forbid) if Iowa were to lose against Penn State.

Also, I'm pretty sure the freshmen will still be freshmen, win or lose Sunday. ;)

Its called respect your opponent & their talent...I have no doubt our guys do & will...certainly Fran does. Penn State is very talented. If we lose this game it will be a real downer...but it wont be because we took them lightly.

Are we favored? sure.. doesnt mean a damn thing...ask Mary & Wisky.
I'm nervous about the game (I always am)...just want to see PJ & Dale Jones leave CHA for most likely the last time with a win.

Make shots / press/trap...make shots / press/trap.

I thought I saw that Banks was out for PSU's game this week. Didn't see or hear why. Is he playing Sunday?

Sorry for the crap thread.

I celebrated voraciously last night. What a game! What a finish!

And like every dessert, I want the cherry on top.

An impressive win tightens the screws on the Selection Committee. We've certainly done enough for them to dismiss us. It's our job to make them reconsider us, not remind them why we were an afterthought.

It's still an uphill battle to get in. One more win against a higher seed in the B1G tourney gets us in. Plus, beating PSU.

The Selection Committee really has to consider not letting in Wisconsin if they continue to slide.

I hate when teams get to "punch their card" well before the season has started. I'm grateful that we got that consideration last year, but i don't agree with it.

So much can happen over the length of a season, and if Wisconsin has been exposed as not worthy, then why consider them? They'll field a team next year. Try again.

Any chance Jones comes in and bombs in some 3pt shots? Seems like he is going to do the graduate transfer route. He has talent, just been a case of him getting injured for 2 years before he can establish himself in rotation.

Seems like PSU game will either be a blowout win for hawks or a trap game we might lose in tight contest. Key is to guard 3pt shooters and not let PSU bricklayer suddenly get hot.

Nice call on this one. Jones 1-2 in his 1st start ever.
