The fundamental differences between the left and right--the importance of self control/personal accountability

Lack of regulation has consequences.

Status quo gets disrupted by progress. Who knew? JFC
Pie in the sky stuff. The third world will increase usage of oil when the price goes down to $25 a barell if the USA and the EU no longer uses it. Problem is, our coat per thermometer unit of energy will be sky high and linked to fixed costs as we pay off expensive and unreliable energy sources (look at California’s issues do to pushing green energy too far and too fast, Brown outs). So carbon will still be emitted at the same or higher rates, and the West’s economies will be in a shambles. Use your heads people. Personal responsibility is where meaningful change takes place.

I have not met a single person including Bernie Sanders who has advocated for open boarders. If you have been paying any attention whatsoever instead of just listening to republican lies and fear porn you would know this.....just like the police defunding police BS. Lazy

“Open borders” and what you consider to NOT be Open Borders are two very different things.

WTF? You might want to understand what you're cutting/pasting before doing so. LOL

Never cut and pasted anything, just drawing on Economics. The law of supply and demand cannot be usurped, no matter how much you left wing elitists think they can.

Yes, it can. That's a supreme example of your ignorance.

It can, but it always has consequences. What Democrats are proposing is potentially ruinous to the USA economy, with no path back.
No, as usual, you are wrong again. There are many examples of public services and facilities that serve us all without being subject to normal market demands.

I think this all started under Obama (not his fault). The Dems and GOP stopped being opponents and became enemies. The other party is bad and stupid. Then Trump arrived and put gas on the fire. Now the other party is evil and WANTS to destroy the country.

You don’t think Rush Limbaugh and the rise of right wing hate radio in the early 90’s had a great deal to do with the state of things today? The guy was calling Chelsea Clinton ugly while she was in junior high. Hilary Clinton was demonized as a “feminazi” from day one. That’s why it was so dumb for the Dems to run her in 2016 - there was an entire industry dedicated specifically to slandering her that had been going for 24 years. So many people became millionaires criticizing Hilary. The republicans wanted to investigate every aspect of White Water and Bill Clinton’s sex live. Then numerous Benghazi hearings that never amounted to squat except red meat for Hilary haters. Her email was suddenly the worst thing that ever happened to red America!

The Clintons have triggered Republicans for going on 30 years now. We hate Trump because he’s a liar and a scumbag. He endangers us every day he’s in office. The right hates the Clintons because... they don’t even know anymore, but argh! “They’re democrats so we hate democrats too!” Obama felt it certainly. Didn’t help that he’s a black guy. But make no mistake, the right lost their collective minds in 1992 and it’s increasingly been the lunatics steering that ship ever since. (See ditto heads, tea partiers, Q followers and anti-maskers.)

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY! Lindsey Graham. Chuck Grassley. Joni. How about PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY? HA

Conservatives are accountable 🦄

So, you're saying that the Squad holds no importance to the left or the Dem party? Volunteering that stupidity for all of us, huh?

Currently, they are to the left what Ted Cruz and the so called Tea Party were to the right. They are tolerated but they do hold enough sway to where they can't be ignored. The difference is, if they take control like the tea party took control, everybody's lives get a little bit easier, although it gets a little bit more expensive. We don't get what we have now.

FFS. Roads. Fire and police departments. Public schools. Utilities.

That's a start. Not to mention bailouts of farmers, banks, etc. Or the whole mortgage system that is subsidized.

There are people like you who fly the red flag of "socialism" while benefiting from social programs every day.

Yeah...pro-riot and looting leaders make everyone’s life better. Yeah I know...But...they need bread!

Protesters aren't rioters. But that's a distinction the right will never make.

I know the difference. Rioters aren’t protesters. “Mostly peaceful” is the same as “Not peaceful”. Try that distinction on. Nagasaki had a mostly peaceful morning before the bomb landed.

Not to mention, they are referring to looter and rioters with their defenses. Not protesters.

I do make that distinction. 93% of all protests were completely peaceful. That's not a 100%. But I don't blame the protesters. I blame the looters. Looters are everywhere and they come out any time there are disturbances. There is looting during championship celebrations and there is looting during natural disasters. Anytime something happens that is larger than the police forces ability to control looters come out to capitalize on that. They are terrible human beings who need to end up in jail, but looting isn't unique to these protests.

You can blame the protests for providing the opportunity, but that's about it.

Are you suggesting the bombing of Nagasaki was unwarranted?

Protesters are not rioters. Rioters are rioters, protesters are protesters.
