A couple of JP's Greatest hits from PSU board Enjoy

- I too think he wrestles. I also would trust Cael to make the best decision with the help of the family. The Iowa fan base has become a bunch of cry babies if you read HR, but they don't really speak for the typical Iowa wrestling fan. If you fail to understand that all decisions made by Brands are genius, and all decisions made by Cael,Tom Ryan,J Rob etc. etc. are terrible you will get put on the blacklist I guess. It is really sad how small and backward it makes our entire state seem.

- I speak truth. I'm very sorry so few on HR can accept it. It saddens me that this represents the Iowa fan base, but luckily I know it is only the vocal few. A voice of reason and intelligence has been needed on that board for a very long time, but it will not be accepted. The HR board has for some time sought to silence any who speak against anything going on with the program. I have not been quiet with my complaints in person, and will not be silenced by some basement dwellers on HR. The real problem with the vocal Iowa fan base is a deep rooted jealousy of Cael. This isn't new. Cael the wrestler was bad mouthed by that crew his entire career. Cael the coach was bad mouthed while at ISU, and now he is out here kicking the crap out of Iowa and the jealousy overload is in full force. Iowa has a proud tradition with a history of great champions, but this wasn't achieved by hiding from the truth. Cael has been accused of running an illegal slush fund, supporting pedophiles, caring about only himself, and a variety of other unfounded ignorant accusations. I won't do that, so I'm not the "in" crowd on HR. Just reading tonight the heart felt words Cael has regarding the NN situation makes me jealous. We once had this man in our state leading a program. I love the genuine transparency of Cael, and I always will. How can you lie down with such pigs and allow yourself to spew this stuff even part time Chief? You are better than that. We all are.

Why do you even come to this board?

Why give breath to this guy? Ignore is a great tool.

The web has all kinds of forum personalities tough guys, all-knowing, I speak only the truth, your the idiot, living in the past, living in the future, my team style of wrestling, fun, burnouts, complainers, forever optimistic, Debbie Downers...this list ebbs and wanes depending on the time and year.

JP Whitters III ....supposedly a member of this board for nearly 10 years with 107 messages, yet has tallied over 50 in just two threads in the last couple of days.

He is obviously a fake persona, and likely on themat forum under a different name. His goal seems to be to tear down Iowa wrestling, while proclaiming to be a fan.

No reason to keep reading his polluted crap. Very deserving of HiWillie's "black flag" list.

There have been a lot of weirdos posting on this board since about Midlands. I don't remember it being this bad the past few years(except around nationals). Hopefully we don't lose the good posters.

The tone of his posts remind me a ton of Cletus on themat.

The best part about the ignore feature on this forum is that the posts are completely gone. There's no post placeholder wimpy "show ignored content" link to tempt you into reading what you know will raise your blood pressure. (OK, there's an itty-bitty one at the bottom of the page but you have to go looking for it.)

Youare probably right, LaxHawk.

Here is a cletus post from themat forum "sticking up" for Iowa:

"I'm going to have to stand up for Iowa here. What good would it do them and the team's morale, to get shellacked by Penn State? And in Happy Valley, in front of a rabid crowd? What's that going to benefit Iowa? As it is, they're going to get trampled at Big 10s and NCAA's, you need it to happen a 3rd time at a dual?

Iowa has done a fine job this season with who they have available, and taking pot shots at them only shows classlessness. "

The style and prolific # of posts are very similar to James Whitter III. Claims to be an Iowa fan and then insults them.

High probability James Whitter III = cletus (formerly "suzie"). I suspect the same lowlife posts under another name as well... hurricanewrestling. All have similar m.o.'s, and are likely all the same jackazzz.

I don't know all of those Mat posters but he has already declared a great friendship with Amalone on BWI...make of that what you will because Amalone is a "purist."

My problem is that we sometimes have posters who think being critical of Iowa is "original" thought and he is "speaking truth to power." Guess they never heard one of Tarp's or IHawk9's recruiting rants...or how much M* has been beat up in here. Or the lack of offense from certain guys...hell, Sorensen is undefeated and even he hasn't escaped criticism. Sheeit, Stoll was accused of being the Cookie Monster.

The only time I mind criticism is when someone is beating a dead horse (yea yea we get it) or if they are a troll. JW has been posting for about a week and most of his posts have been critical of Iowa and praiseworthy of PSU. PSU is a good team, no doubt but most of his criticism is off the mark...the only real thing he is on point with is the unsubstantiated Cael stuff. It's just not a good look and makes us look like jealous pussies.

His big criticism is scheduling...if you look at PSU (which is his standard bearer), the only real non conference difference is Lehigh/our trip to Montana. However, I'll take one Grapple over five Lehighs. We had no control over B1G.

So JW, you started posting over at BWI before you did here and quickly got in pissing matches with folks over here once you did start posting. Any wonder many just think you are a simple troll?

About spit my coffee out when he said Amaloon is "a stand up guy" and "classy". Omg!

Threads like this are precisely the reason he does what he does. Op made this guy's year starting this one.
As for me, I don't put anybody on ignore as I'm here for info and the occasional entertainment value.

I am with you. I dont mind the guy. I just pick and choose what I want to read as I skim through threads. I dont put anyone on ignore. Not even Amalone. I just read maybe 10% of his stuff. Im sure folks feel the same bout me or even you. Nobody forces anyone to read every post of every thread. Likely if the post is too long I wont even bother.

But this gang like mob mentalilty against certain posters at certain times is highly entertaining. I admit he is bring it on himself right now, kind of reminds me of Eric Hawk playing both boards against each other a bit. But Its a free open forum, its not meant to be controlled by a few poster on here who fancy themselves the good ole boys club. You take the good, you take the bad and sometimes some of us are just trying to stir the pot on a boring day. Big f'n deal. Let him tire himself out. Hes like my bicycle. Hes two tired!

Reminds me of the maryland guy. if you ever got to know him , he is highly intelligent, very nice and is fully excersizing his right to be a fan and use free speech. If he ever comes around you at nationals talk with him. He doesnt hurt anyone and can be very funny. I like the guy and find it funny how uncomfortable he makes some of you.

Can someone tell me what Ihawk9times said in his 2nd paragraph? His post was bit long and I don't feel like reading it.. :)

Honestly, I am surprised when people even spend time worrying about someone else on a messageboard. A messageboard is no different than the makeup of society ... you have smart people, not-so-smart people, happy people, sad people, optimistic people, pessimistic people, wealthy people, not-so-wealthy people, etc. So to think a messageboard would exclude those individuals is just not reality. Some people are trolls - I understand that ... But people also have their opinions and because it may differ from mine does not mean I am going on the attack, nor am I going to spend a whole lot of my time worrying about what an anonymous poster says online. I have enough face-to-face relationships I need to focus on and maintain.

I'll venture over to the mat or BWI on occasion. It puts things into perspective and makes you appreciate what we have here. Its sort of like visiting Somalia or North Korea.
I also go over to the mat & BWI from time to time, never post, just read. 9 times out of 10 I end up pissed off and want to scratch my eyeballs out because of the crap that I'm reading! As far as Jimmy Whitter goes, he's a grade A troll that needs a swift kick in the gonads.

I would agree with this. I sure JW would probably be a good guy to talk to, have a beer and talk wrestling with and he came to the board to stir the pot and get things going. I feel a slight case of guilt for calling him a worthless Middle School kid who does nothing but sit in front of a computer screen on a message board all day. As a new poster to the HR, probably not the best impression of what my intentions are to this board and the image of the Hawkeye Wrestling Fan. I come here every morning before work and read the new threads and catch up on the news, I was just really p!ssed this guy ruined every single thread yesterday! HA

The guy has been a clear troll since about Day 1. I don't put anyone on ignore but I read his posts with the thought in mind.

I now change my mind and I agree. I take it all back. I didnt think so until I just checked out what was new at the BWI site and found JP standing up for Amalone and calling him a great poster and better than most Iowa posters.

I stand by my Eric Hawk remake now.

Sorry JP, you cant back Amalone and be cool with me. Unless you clear it with his P.O.

I would say he was amalone but he probably doesn't have the intelligence to pull off any kind of ruse, and we know for sure he wouldn't be able to hide his hatred for Iowa long enough to pull off a bait and switch.

I am torn at giving these guys attention like this thread I unfortunately started. On one hand it may be exactly what they want, but on the other hand part of them really does want to pull one over and make people think they who they are what they say.

Yeah, takes all kinds to make the world go round. That said, the difference between being here to supposedly talk Iowa Wrestling versus doing it with those who "makeup society" in some public setting is............ if you meet them in person, you just walk away and never have to see the idiot again or listen to their "opinion" (and yes, that includes yours truly). Like it or not that is how people operate in the real world, you don't put up with it. You can choose to be polite or not when you're tired of the dialog, dependent upon your level of angst.

Just because its written instead of spoken doesn't make it any less annoying. The Ignore function on this site is the equivalent of meeting some douchebag in public and walking away never to be heard from again. So the people who set these Sites up get it.

If I'm not gonna take the time to listen to your drivel in a public setting, I'm sure as hell not going to want to repeatedly have to read what you have to say on a daily or weekly basis just cause you have the time to type it. Free Country and all, to each his own, etc., but I prefer not to stick sharp objects in my eye, and if there's a way around that, I'm certainly going to entertain it, given a choice.

Slowhawk, you make valid points.

I guess my main concern is the possibility of HS kids or parents of a hot HS prospect reads wrestling forums. Propaganda, if used skillfully, can paint an unflattering picture of a school or opponent that can sound convincing unless you really know the deeper truths. The crap about "Brands can't coach," "all Iowa does is push and shove," "Iowa wrestles dirty," "Iowa wrestlers don't know how to have fun" "McDonough is a poor sport" "Iowa has a weak schedule"... I could go on, but you get the idea.

I've come around to believing that no other school does this to any significant degree except for a very few PSU fans - cletus and hurricane (probably the same guy) being the most obnoxious. These guys are prolific posters and continually post crap about Iowa wrestling on themat, and now we have James Whitters III here.

At some point, jmho, a ban is appropriate.
