Make your damn bed once your feet hit the floor! Perfectly. Even out and tuck the sheets. Same folds, all sides. Do the same with the blanket and smooth it to perfection. Everything aligned. And then be shipshape all day until you climb back into that same bed. Push yourself to where it makes you uneasy. And do it as often as you can. In anything in your life. And seek to do it more often. Always remain humble, open-minded, compassionate and maintain a strong internal fire. Full of thought, curiosity, grief, joy and love. Love more than anything else.

Good advice even if very old.

It's been nice posting here. Good luck to all of you. Fair winds and following seas.

I prefer to let it air out for about an hour before making it.

I let it air out in the am by getting ready then making it. But always made the bed so when the lady or ladies came over pre tbw, room was clean, sheets were clean, bed made and I got laid. 😜

Admiral McRaven spoke at the memorial service for my no pic wife’s cousin, also an Admiral. On Coronado Island. They were very good friends.

I make mine every day. The cats are on it, messing it up, within seconds. At least they are small, when we had a 70 pound dog jumping on it every day it really got messed up

Yes, while I make it every day I do eat breakfast first.

As for bringing in lady friends (I was single until I was 36, so I have some experience here) there is a simple rule: if the bed’s not made, you won’t get laid.

All day? What am I supposed to do when I harass your mom at noon hour, bend her over the footboard? Not much of a gentleman

The other thing I learned is that they like bed frames. Not just a mattress on the floor.
