The latest episode of "The Journey" on BTN debuts Sunday evening at 5:30 pm. A portion of the show features the whole drama around the Michigan State game at East Lansing: the return matchup, the MSU revenge factor and the reunion of Lansing Sexton guys. I'm sure the show, like the game itself, didn't turn out the way the script was supposed to go, so it should be a fun watch. If you haven't yet seen the show, check it out. It's really well done and worth the time.

Ya know, they really are not all out to get us.
Let me know the next time the Big10 network shows that they give a rat's ass about Iowa. Last night they cut 15 minutes out of the IA-Mich St. replay because some earlier show had run over. They could have easily cut part of the Journey episode that I'm sure has only been televised about 10 times the past week. I understand that the aren't a lot of television sets in IA and Nebraska, but if you think that the Big10 network is impartial when it comes to programming maybe I could sell you a bridge?

They are not impartial when it comes to programming, they base it on eyeballs.
They are impartial when it comes to profit distribution.

Everyone is out to get us.

Watch carefully.

I'd think they would want Iowa on as much as possible right now, its caucus season and I'm sure they're enjoying all the revenue from political ads aimed at Iowan's.

Yes it was really well done. Glad that was the only story, instead of rotating three different ones like they usually do. Can't be understated how big it was that Sapp stayed after his sophomore year.

I was very impressed by the show...my wife also enjoyed it...family connections and appreciation even in the midst of competition. Have opponents cheer for the "other guy" out of respect and love is a nice treat in this day and age. All three guys seem to be great people.

Totally agree, one of the better Journeys I have seen. Good to see how close the boys and their families are. Tip my hat to coach Valentine for his advice to Sapp to talk to coach Fran after his Sophomore year.

It is on again right now.

By staying, he's going to have gotten to experience a couple tourney runs, get his degree, play a couple years in Europe if he wants too, and there's always a place in IC for ex-athletes selling cars, insurance, etc. if all else fails. In short, as a 19- or 20-year kid who wasn't entirely happy at the time, he made a tough but right decision that has set him up for success for the rest of his life.

"The Jouney" is almost unwatchable.

Seeing the human side, the compelling back-stories, and wonderful families of these B1G foes makes it impossible to hate them. Just impossible.

Fortunately, jerk fans are always there to step up.

Always good to see hard work pay off. He comes from good people and it shows.

Oh that's why I usually don't watch it. I can't just give up my unbridled disdain for the Big Ten's money-driven love affair with Ohio State, simply because of a couple nice people, now can I?.........

Sapp has just been a great person and competitor to have in this program. His play has been outstanding this year. I'm guessing we have overlooked him and others in this program that are key foundational rocks.

I font really care for valentine, but after watching that episode, I have more respect for him and Forbes. 3 great young men doin what they do best.

Great episode. Made me really feel even better for Sapp.

That's got to be a great feeling to come back and kick the ass of your home team that thought they were to good for you to be on their team.

I loved this episode. I have the utmost respect for Sappy, Forbes and Denzel. I also have an incredible amount of respect for Coach Valentine. Class act. My favorite part was when Fran indicated how the conversation after soph year went..."coach, this year was on me..it will never happen again." Sapp is a High character kid and a huge piece of the bedrock that supports this team.

Especially when they had newspaper articles about Sapp being public enemy number 1.

Yes...Coach Valentine asking Sapp...have you talked to your coach, face to face, man to man? Great insight and professional.

I was drawn to the conversation about how tough it is to play against each other, given how close they are as friends...you want the other guy to do well, make shots, because you love him...but you have to beat him. Plus, the difficulty of playing against a guy who knows your every move.

That these players and families can celebrate with each other when they lose is pretty impressive, and rare, it seems.

I thought this show was awesome. I liked the family stories and how the boys grew up. I loved the fact seeing that they all were multi-sport athletes. Shows that kids do not need to focus on 1 sport growing up. Those 3 kids won back to back state titles which is cool.

I agreed hearing Valentine's dad talk to Sapp about speaking with your coach. That is what all coaches should say. It showed that the kid had a tough year and could of quit. He instead stuck it out and worked his tail off.

Kind of crazy the relationships that our current players have with MSU. (sapp from Lansing, coached by Valentines dad) Wagner was coached by former MSU guard Trice's Dad. That's pretty cool.

Was a great story that needed to be told. Politicians could learn a lot from Valentine, Forbes and Clemmons on civility while at the same time getting the job done for their team!

Great friendship from the Pee Wee leagues to the Big Ten Stage. They are still a team even though life has taken them in somewhat different directions.

This (bold part), amazing how the players and families can talk, celebrate even joke around even though one team lost both games, Valentine sitting out one and Sapp completely took Forbes out of both games. Great to see. A lot of respect for all especially Coach Valentine for still acting as a father figure to Sapp through everything. Players and parents could learn a lot from them.

A good watch. Great families and the loyalty of the three families and guys to each other is impressive.
