Please help me out here. Remember the year everyone was calling Coach, “The New Kirk”? We were doing all kinds of stuff (mainly on offense). Like fake punts on our side of the field, throwing long passes, etc. I can’t remember the year, but I think it was the year we lost to Sparty in the championship. By the way, there really was any “New Kirk” in that game. I think we threw 2 passes over 30 yards and one went for a touchdown. I guess my point is this: I understand we are limited with the personnel with have on offense, but what would it hurt to at least try and open things up. I also understand the futility of that going into our final five games. But whatever happened to that New Kirk. For once in his life he went out of character and was successful. It’s really puzzling.
