Ran out of some midwest staples so I added thoseI don't consider desserts to be a "side".
IgnoredLOL, corn and cornbread and not remotely the same thing.
Scalloped corn. Hands down.
I always inhale scalloped corn on Thanksgiving but I'm never in the mood for it the rest of the year. Same with turkeyScalloped corn. Hands down.
My sis-in-laws uncle makes a fantastic scalloped corn/mac n cheese combo that is beyond wonderful
You eat just straight gravy? RespextNo gravy? What the f*ck kind of lame poll is this? And yes, gravy is a side dish when made properly. Way more than pie anyway,
Imagine sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner and you see grandpa going to town on a giant bowl of gravy as if it was a soup..You eat just straight gravy? Respext
I think you just gotta respect your elder at that pointImagine sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner and you see grandpa going to town on a giant bowl of gravy as if it was a soup..
Mashed potatoes are the correct answer btw.
That is one smart granddad! Most things at Thanksgiving are just carbs there to soak up the gravy. It is the essential side that makes the meal great.Imagine sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner and you see grandpa going to town on a giant bowl of gravy as if it was a soup..

I didn't know how or where to add gravy to the poll but it will cover about 97% of my plate before I sit down. That is one smart granddad! Most things at Thanksgiving are just carbs there to soak up the gravy. It is the essential side that makes the meal great.
Cranberries can GTFOI pretty much love everything Thanksgiving related other than cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes
This.Mashed taters, made as unhealthily as possible.
Totally forgot deviled eggs. The old man adds bacon and jalapenos to the mixture. GamechangerThis.
I'm actually surprised at the amount of scalloped corn love here. When I'm piling up my plate, that's the one thing I always leave off because it ranks pretty close to the bottom of my Thanksgiving food priorities. If I really want some, I'll put a bit on after I finish off everything on my original plate.
Give me 10 deviled eggs over any damned scalloped corn.
Yep. In the end its all one giant plate of slop. Delicious delicious slop“Other”
A combination of rolls, taters, corn, green beans, gravy, made into some weird mix you dip your roll in
This! I will never understand it but to each their own. Same with green bean casserole. My family loves that shit! I know, I'm the odd duck but I just don't get it and I love green beans by themselves.Every year I'm reminded people actually like stuffing.
All of the above except we don’t have Mac and cheese. And gravy -Alright boys and gals what's the side you are willing to run over grandma for?
IMO stuffing is hit or miss. My Grandma no pics has an old school recipe, and I friggin love hers. But at this point, it's kind of more nostalgic than anything else. Back in 2020 I hosted Thanksgiving for myself, little sis no pics, and her bf no pics. I made my own stuffing and it was phenomenal. Far better than my Grandma's that I grew up eating every Thanksgiving. This! I will never understand it but to each their own. Same with green bean casserole. My family loves that shit! I know, I'm the odd duck but I just don't get it and I live green beans by themselves.
I don’t eat them either. Those onions mess me up really bad. I let others have my share. This! I will never understand it but to each their own. Same with green bean casserole. My family loves that shit! I know, I'm the odd duck but I just don't get it and I love green beans by themselves.
