In case you haven't noticed Trump has a long history of gross exaggeration and lies. Easy betting money here would be that this is more of the same.

How do you know Trump himself won't take a sharpe to the analysis to support his claimed number? Attack the source with the correct numbers seems on brand.

As I said last night, it was a strong speech with many high points. It also got redundant and boring and had awkward moments of Trump taking random pot shots at others.

Overall, Trump did well last night. Doesn’t mean he didn’t lie his ass off.

I know there was plenty of idiocy from that side of the aisle—the worst being their refusal to stand up and acknowledge a kid with brain cancer.

My focus was on Trump. And overall I was fairly complimentary of his performance. He gave a strong speech which not only galvanized his base but had a wide appeal to moderates and Independents. Democrats looked foolish last night and out of touch with the American people. They really need a strong leader to emerge in their party.
