Frank Bodani, of the York Daily Record and USA TODAY NETWORK, thinks lightly of the Hawkeyes. In his long report card article on Saturday's game, he states "Here are the grades for a record-setting 41-21 defeat to the pedestrian Iowa Hawkeyes".
He states that "Iowa put its early faith in limited, struggling QB Spencer Petras and the Lions couldn't capitalize. He was 18 of 28 passing, deftly managed scoring drives and didn't make a significant mistake. It all goes back to defending Petras. The Lions rarely even made him uncomfortable when it mattered and struggled to defend his PEDESTRIAN RECEIVERS" That provided Iowa's go-to run game with everything it needed and spelled defeat.
He likes the word pedestrian.
While he may (or may not) be on target in describing Petras, calling Iowa's receivers pedestrian is hardly true.
