The possibility of Iowa having to play Wisconsin three times

I'd rather not see Iowa have to play the same team three times, with the possible third time occurring in the BTT. While Iowa should certainly have confidence if it wins a second time in the regular season, I would think that pride alone would make an opposing team a tougher "out" if they play a third time.

I would relish watching Iowa beat WI 3 times in the same season.

Bring it on!

Wisconsin is not good. If Iowa is worried about having to beat Pissconsin three times, they should plan to be home after the first weekend of the tournament.

I remember seeing a stat somewhere that laid this whole tough to beat a team three times thing to rest. It's a myth. The better team (or the team which matches up better) won the first two games and more often than not wins the third. Don't want to see Indiana again.

WIS is the absolute best matchup Iowa could dream for in the BTT - since NEB and NW are probably unavailable, even with upsets.

They're extremely slow and delibrate offensive style of play would play right into the Hawks' hands.

If Iowa's offense is even just about half as efficient as usual - assuming they keep playing the defense like they have been since early February - the Hawkeyes should be able to win by double digits.

Meh, they owe us a win with interest at this point. F*** Indiana. Give us out wins back.

If Wisconsin losses they could be in a 2 or 3 team tie for 6th if Maryland beats PSU at home or Rutgers wins on the road vs Minny. Not sure how the tie breaker would go if all 3 tie.

In this scenario Wisky is 6th seed, if Rutgers loses, then Maryland has the tiebreaker over Wisky and is the 6th seed.

Your answer lies here: http://bball.notnothing.net/big10.php?sport=mbb

If Iowa beats Wisconsin AND

If Maryland beats PSU and Rutgers beats Minnesota; Wisconsin is 6 seed.

Or if Maryland beats PSU; Rutgers loses to Minnesota; Maryland is 6 seed.

Did our win last night secure a double bye since an Ohio State win over Illinois and an Iowa loss to Wisconsin would leave us tied with the Buckeyes . With a Purdue win they would jump us to to a 3 seed but our tie with OSU would leave us where?

Nope. But it will if OSU or Purdue lose tomorrow. So we’ll know before we play if we have gotten a double bye.
