Just a brief video. This is one of four DC-10 VLATs currently in service with the US Forest Service. Obviously, a very large and heavy plane. This pilot at low speed and altitude, drops roughly 42 tons of fire retardant in heavy wind and some smoke in a crowded air environment. The challenges the pilot is being forced to deal with in real time are probably too numerous to list. Impressive!
