Mrs. Lucas and I were driving past Osceola on I-35 about the time Joel started this thread. It was weird how quickly the temps dropped. It dropped 7 degrees in 15 miles. We got to Des Moines just as rush hour started and it wasn't too bad. The ground was warm and wasn't letting the snow stick just yet. By the time we got to IC society had collapsed. We had to stop at Hy-Vee to grab a few things for a party we were going to and as we drove past the front of the store a SUV stopped in front of us. A woman moved a cart to it, opened the back up, and started to load groceries. She looked back and clearly didn't GAF that she was blocking a bunch of cars. I edged past and yelled something to her about being a effing bitch that she didn't appreciate. Neither did Mrs. Lucas, but, society has rules. You can't just violate them.
