So we got it wrong THIS TIME....what happens next time when such measures will be fvcking necessary? Oh, I know...morons will use this time as justification for not locking down, etc. when it might really matter. We got sooooo fvcking lucky it was 1000th of the Spanish flu.
Personally it probably wouldn't be a bad thing, because it would help cull the stupidity out of the population...but life would really suck for years after for those that survived.
We don't know which demographic the next one will target....hence why such measures should ALWAYS be automatically implemented.

The obese and overweight make up a majority of our population, let's not act like it's some marginal group accounting for a dramatically disproportionate amount of the hospitalizations and deaths
Judging from the work-out and dieting threads we've seen on here, probably >75% of the posters on this board fit the bill....
