An officer in Ferguson, Mo., suffered severe head injuries after clashing with demonstrators at the city's police headquarters on the 10th anniversary of the Michael Brown Jr. slaying, authorities said Saturday.

The officer was hospitalized and is "fighting for his life" after he was attacked by protesters during clashes along a fence surrounding the station late on Friday, Ferguson Police Chief Troy Doyle told reporters at a press briefing.

That family is now holding a vigil by Brown’s bedside as he fights for his life after he was viciously shoved to the ground by an unruly demonstrator Friday, on the 10th anniversary of the killing of unarmed black teen Michael Brown in Ferguson.

The entire Michael Brown thing is a scam. I live in StL and nothing about this case is as the national news portrays. The kid was a thug who robbed a small bodega, tried to grab a police officer's gun when confronted and then got what he asked for. Obama's DOJ found no wrong doing by the officer, Wesley Bell ran for the position of St Louis County prosecuting attorney on the platform that he would reopen the investigation, and then he had to admit the officer did nothing wrong so he couldn't file any charges either.
