The article is a bit dramatic, even over the top. But the overall point is valid, that Kirk has always been a different cat as a football coach, and Kirk is going to stay Kirk. It's going to be a rough year for everyone, including him.

Ha, shut off Tree of Life after about 15 mins like I would have done during quite a few Iowa games last couple years if the Hawks weren't my team. I still think Kirk's way can work okay if line develops as they get older and if they get a qb with mobility and better accuracy. That's given the D and ST stay great but it's clear he's not willing to deviate one bit to address needs, his stubbornness is something to behold.

Just not sure if the old formula will hold up to the changing big ten, I just don't see the schedule being as friendly as it has been in the past. We are getting a taste of it now
