I was working in New York in the late 80's-early 90's and he was a famous joke. Riding in cabs I remember he would try to disguise he voice and call in to station's talk shows. The drivers said it was simply attention-getting.

Hard for me to believe someone with that juvenile behavior could trick a nation into voting for him to be President of the United States. Thanks, dumb red states. Stupid, ignorant fools.

We're paying for it now and will be paying for it for at least a generation.
