The US denies Mexico’s request for water

I’m talking in general about people most harmed by Trump’s policies.

I’m doubting a lot of trailer trash purchase much produce at the grocery store, so, no, it wasn’t in direct reference to the OP.

My response to NoWokeBloke was just reinforcing the fact he is an idiot.
The people harmed by this will be the people.of Mexico, because their officials didn't honor a deal.

Try as you might to make this a trump.problem, what you are seeing is the general.pu lic saying they are tired of always being willing to take the shit end of the deal.

Pay your bills.

Yeah, I just don’t think Team Trump is that thoughtful. Shoot any chance you get; **** asking questions ever.

That’s the modus operandi of Donald Trump. Always has been.
For someone who agrees in principal you sure seems to want to find a way this is somehow a Trump problem.

Pay your bills lady, you thought you were tough talking tariffs. Your people have and will kill elected officials in your country. FAFO.

Who is it you think put themselves in a shitty situation here?

Biden/Trump

Mexico
In response to many of your posts, I will say I don’t know the history of Mexico’s water situation intimately but I imagine it isn’t good.

If you have read many of my posts on this site, you will know I oppose most foreign aid—from the open checkbook to Ukraine and Israel to a recent discussion about the United States cutting off condom supplies to underdeveloped countries.

The water shit with Mexico is petty. It’s also kinda cruel.

It's not petty, it's a agreement we went into with good faith.

They aren't a couple bucks short, they have provided 20% and are roughly 54 months into a 60 month agreement.

"Pay us the 80% you owe us, while you are broke, or we are going to skull **** your country so we can have the most productive growing season in history" would be petty.

Yeah, we just need to turn the water on. It's very simple, actually.
That's a good idea, but we need to make sure that the Dear Leader is able to assume credit for something. Whatever that something may be.

Obviously, we see it differently.

And you keep touting this “pay your bills” tagline, as if the US government (now approaching 40 trillion in debt) is somehow a paradigm of fidelity to obligations.

This is petty and stupid.

Nah, he'd call them Venezuelan gang members.
Back in college I worked at Lowe's store for a bit. One of my co-workers was a Native America guy. He was very cool, but also very dumb. So I often had to fix mistakes he'd make when he was giving advice to a customer about something. There were probably 4-5 times that an upset contractor would say something along the lines of "Well the mexican over there told me otherwise" or something along those lines/csb.

It was always those goddamn mexicans giving the bad advice.

Much more complicated than that.

The days of us paying everyone's tab and providing the police to make sure everyone has fun safely are over.

They have 6 months to deliver 80% of the 5 year amount owed to us and they are asking us for more.

You sure you want to play dumb games with the tariffs president of Mexico? Cuz, the cartels need water, and they will unalive you real quick.
Well we cut off their water by damning the Colorado. It once flowed to the Baha, but now it's just a trickle.

What gives us the right to **** them over by destroying the river before it gets there?

If only Trump believed in paying his bills. It's not like he's ****ed a bunch over.

They get to keep all the water in the Colorado River that originates in Mexico.

Not sure why the left hates California so much…where do you think most of the water from Lake Mead goes?

I don't hate California. It's a great state.

This isn't about hating a state. That's quite a leap. It's about water rights and preservation.

If you feel it's a good thing that the Colordao doesn't flow to the Baha anymore good for you.

Maybe Colorado should keep it all and sell it to the other states since it originates there.

How about the Panama Canal? That's Panama's and they should screw us over since it's theirs.

FFS some of you are stupid.

Might want to read up a bit before you go calling people stupid.

Mexico signed a treaty, they have failed to deliver on it.

Their failure to live up to their agreements has caused large problems in Texas.

So what do you want the US to do…keep feeding water to a country that is doing the same as it agreed to?

How do you propose to solve an issue with out going for big stakes when the other party refuses to live up to its end of the deal, but expects the US to just keep on doing their part of the deal?

This is a bipartisan issue that one of the most out spoken on it is a Democrat.

Hate Trump all you want…but at least take the blinders off and realize Democrats are pushing for the same results.

Poorly informed riparian rights handed out over a century ago before we understood the ecology of the area.

Yep, but the WH has a concept of a plan to fix that.
Global warming will melt the ice caps and Greenland. Rising sea levels will drive more water underground. Which will replenish the underground reservoirs.

This is why Trump is removing all the green subsidies and orders, and why he wants to ramp up drilling and the use of coal.

Genius.
