but the US government has given the common man so little to spend. ACA, has completely overtaken the economy, and the effects of it have resonated to everything. What was once a $200 premium has become a $550 premium, that takes an estimated 20% from the income of the average American. Those just below the level of Upper Middle class, to most of those in the Middle class income range are held down.

Combine that with the lack of technical/industrial jobs, rising taxes, state taxes, etc., and the American people are in a state of imbalance, that threatens to stop any rise in money incoming to Americans over money outgoing to Americans.

The market is now going off The Federal Reserves promise to not raise interest rates. Though every time it gets closer to a possible and proposed mark up period, it once again stops consumer spending. Meaning that anytime the Fed makes a promise, the market jumps accordingly.

Is this a loop that will never solve itself, or is this an inevitable period of recession that is set to reoccur, over and over again?

What does this mean? This means that in just the past couple of days, we have seen an almost complete reversal of the positive market gains made in the past 6 weeks. Two days of market loss, has overtook 6 weeks of growth.

Why? Well, that is the answer most Americans would like to have.

I really believe this is true. No one knows what to do and seem to be waiting to "see what happens". with the Health insurance thing. I want to retire in a year but struggling to figure out Health insurance. It is so UNAFFORDABLE. Thanks Obama!

Two questions for the OP;
  1. How is 350 per month, if true, equal to 20% of income? 350 per month at 20% means average American salary is 1750 per month or 21000 per year. That seems far too low which means 20% per month is an exaggeration.
  2. Why does spending more on health care not drive the economy compared to spending on a vacation or a dishwasher for example? The money simply flows from tourism or durable goods to health care.

The average income of single parent households is 25k. So it's close.

the stock market has become a day trader's game and a rich guy's game and a bankster's game. that is it. the common man can barely get by, he may invest in his 401K a little, but that's it. no money for stocks. the 401k's might invest a little in stocks, depending upon how you set it up.

I have wonderful healthcare at a reasonable price, I just primed the local economy by having several windows replaced in my house, I'm leaving on vacation on Sunday, and I recently bought a slightly used Acadia. I'm doing my part you moochers.

We've paid our veterinarian enough to buy a pretty nice boat this year.

The stock market wants people to spend money so the
stock holders get bigger profit. Nothing new here.

Actually no i dont have a shelter not prepped used to be a poster on here who would hammer me for that

The aca is horrible. Our premiums rose 39% this year with a young healthy office of 60 employees. $200k hit to the company with a small $50k of it passed on to employees. If this keeps up we will break up company and drop insurance all together. Pay employees more and let them get their own plan. Thanks Obama - let's see those stats again of how this will pay for itself.
