Egg prices are predicted to increase 41.1 percent in 2025,with a prediction interval of 15.0 to 74.9 percent.

When they put tariffs in place they do.
Since like maaaaybe 5 percent of eggs in grocery stores are imported, I highly doubt tariffs would have much effect on prices.

A particularly severe case of bird flu absolutely will, such as what's being experienced now.

Are you saying tariffs dont effect prices?

Idiotic quote aside, from the idiot who says anything

Do we think any president can/has impacted egg prices?
"The buck stops here"...
Also, there is a proposal rumbling around about mass vaccinations of fowl in the US. It's a pretty impactful decision and would affect the health of flocks, possibly mask sick birds that would get to consumers, and affect export markets. And, kind of comical from the anti-vaxxer to push mass vaccinations.

Guys. It's coming as part of the Ukraine/Russia deal that was also supposed to be done already. All we have to do is screw over the country we are supposed to be friends with, take their resources, and still have them invaded. Then we get their eggs.

I don't know why you don't see it.

Tariffs most definitely affect prices…on things that are, you know, subject to tariffs.

Turkey is the only country we import eggs from. In a typical year we produce about 75 billion eggs and we import about 71 million from Turkey. So our imports generally represent less than 1% of our total consumption.

This year we have made an arrangement with Turkey to increase that amount to 420 million eggs at a cost of about $26 million. Do you think that deal will help prices or make prices worse?

A large percentage of seventy-seven million people believed it. Despite being lied to over and over and over and over again by this buffoon.
Yep. In Iowa, MMM's campaign ads were her grocery shopping and blaming democrats for all the high prices and watching girls getting beaten up by trans kids on a soccer field...and the rubes believed them.

No one is putting tariffs on eggs. The increase in the price of eggs is nearly completely caused by the culling of over 20 million egg laying hens due to bird flu. The industry needs time to recover. Biden didn't cause bird flu and neither did Trump. In places like California, there are very strict rules regarding egg production (and anything agriculture related) so it will take a bit longer there and the increase in prices will be greater. Here in Texas and I suspect in Iowa the laws are more conducive to a quicker recovery.

The total number is closer to 40 million...so far. It will take up to a year from "GO" to have laying hens producing again. That's just biology. Neither TX nor Iowa can get around that.

Sure. Buy anything at the store with eggs in them?
Nope. Do you?

I haven't bought a carton of eggs since 2018. The f*** is wrong with you people...........

P.S. everyone needs to stop giving a f*** specifically about the price of eggs.

This obsession is worse than any political discourse I've seen on HROT/HBOT in my 17 years on this board.

“Unfortunately, when you look at the prices here, they are way too expensive because of Kamala Harris’ policies. Let’s talk about eggs. … Eggs, when Kamala Harris took office were short of $1.50 a dozen. Now, a dozen eggs will cost you around $4, thanks to Kamala Harris’ inflationary policies,” said Vance, R-Ohio.

But video of Vance’s commentary showed him standing in front of signs that showed a dozen eggs priced at $2.99 a dozen and not $4 a dozen, and attentive internet users were quick to pounce on that. Multiple people commented on a social media post that he was lying and the price signs behind him are proof of that. They also mocked him for holding up a carton of eggs that was clearly more than a dozen while making a point about the cost of a dozen eggs."

Real answer: No.

My answer: For 4 years we heard dipshits blame Biden for everything and anything outside of the control he has for inflation. So, what comes around goes around.

Trump said he was going to fix inflation, so the idiot asshole better fix it.
