Double good news! Great culture guy, and solid at both ends.
Alright, dammit, what/where's the catch???
First, there's the Gronowski commit. Then the Hawks win last night. Followed by a portal pickup from a young 4star. And now, not only will Thelwell be back right away on Friday, but also might get another season?!

Im praying that Drew can play next season for Iowa.
I hope both things will turn out to be true. Love the young man's passion and effort combined with his talent. Beating Nebraska without him was a great sign for this team given that Drew was about the only positive to come out of the Wisconsin fiasco.
Josh was 7/10 vs Wisconsin so I don't know that you can say Drew was the ONLY positive. 70% is pretty good.
Is there a basis for expecting that he could get a 6th year? I am pretty sure that he played almost all games in the four years before he transferred.
He only played in 16 games his freshman year, 2020-2021. If I read it right, he would have to get a covid year. I've seen it both ways that 19-20 is the covid year and 20-21 could be a covid year. Not sure how's he's playing this year if it's not his covid year.
Hey, JUCO freshman could possibly be in college sports for 11 years.
Why not a 6th year?
There are no rules. He can play as long as he wants.
My guess is that he’s a grad transfer this year and that he’s thinking he could take a covid year still.
