They didn’t pass any real cuts. They just assigned cuts to committees because they’re craven.

The Energy and Commerce Committee has to cut $850 billion and the only place they can get that from is Medicaid, but “technically” Medicaid hasn’t been cut yet.

The SS being a Ponzi scheme has been flying around recently. A Ponzi scheme has the mechanism of fooling investors into huge returns. SS is a safety net that was created for a reason and without having it today many elderly would be destitute. The argument against SS is that IF people took their lifetime of money paid into SS and had invested it all along it would be worth significantly more and a person could just live off the interest. It is supposed to be safe, not a money making investment.

It's funny that the argument against SS promises big earnings from investments. Like a Ponzi.

The GOP is all-in on election denial. 100%. In the past, I would have laughed had someone said the president would declare martial law to stay in power. I’m not laughing anymore. Trump would absolutely do it and I have no confidence a lame-duck GOP Congress would oppose it.
