What problem do you think you spot with the current proposal outlined in that story? You might note no mention was made that those sanctions would actually prevent Iran from getting the bomb. The sanctions are there to enduce them to want to get rid of the bomb. In other words they are all aimed at getting the deal, they are not an end in themselves that accomplishes anything we care about.
