Doug Mehlhaus was from up in Benton County near Garrison on the family farm. He was one of those long time Hawkeye fans, and good man. Doug was on the Hawkeye Basketball team in the early 1960's....#43 IIRC. He was also a very loyal Hawkeye Football fan and went to hundreds of Hawkeye events over the years. He was a modest man so I just wanted to mention his name on the board.
