All waiting for Wisconsin.

Wheel routes to Fant and Sargent.
Screens to IKM leaving Wisconsin’s oversized DL unblocked.
3 TE overload, with Toren running behind a pulling guard
Echo routes bringing Fant across the LB and then Easley tucked in behind
Using Fant to clear the safety up top and running BSmith on the deep in.
And as an all day dose isolating and leaving their 300 lb DEs to make plays in the running game

We’ve got lots of stuff that’ll work. We just can’t fear losing a possession or two. Trust the D. Be aggressive on offense. Make their DL make plays in space. Block their ILBs, strong OLB and safety and leave their weak side OLB and DE to make plays.

Triple tights to outflank their OLB. Make them commit safeties to the LOS. Leave their young weakside corner matched up with Fant and a whole lotta space.

I always look back to the 2009 season and that miracle it took to beat freaking UNI, and how it all shook out in the end. I’m still holding out hope this could be a special season, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t VERY concerned with our offensive production. Specifically the passing game.

One. Game. At. A. Time. It's 2018. We can't act like it's 1985. Western Michigan. Central Michigan. North Dakota State. Northern Illinois. I predict UNI's offense is better than NIU or ISU against us. Need a class A beatdown plan/effort.

I hope the offense can get into a decent enough rhythm to use and execute a broad range of plays. It's like they only get into a rhythm and go on big drives when they have to. We need those drives throughout the game. I think the graduation of Wadley, Vandeberg and veteran O linemen have left a void that younger players need to grow into. These guys were reliable leaders that need replacing. A lot of sophomores out there cutting their teeth right now.
