This is good

Yep, when you aren't consistently beating a team you should that's the natural response. It fits in well with the narrative we've had going for a long time about ISU. With all of that said, win consistently and you don't mind them on the schedule.

But it's nice to know that Iowa State fans understand how we feel about losing to an inferior opponent. Lol.

OMG this made me LOL !
I used to be in the "just beat them and this isn't an issue" crowd but my mind has changed. Our program has such a losing mentality that we can't play the best FCS teams and know we will win. The loss Saturday knocked the air out of the team, fans, and maybe even our brand new coaches. UNI is used to winning and we are used to losing. It doesn't matter how much more talent we have, UNI will fight to the end while our guys give up. JP did the team no favors by locking in a long term series with UNI when there are plenty of bad FCS teams we can beat on and get some confidence in our team instead of getting in a dog fight with UNI or NDSU. Put your team in the best position to win with the games you can control (AKA nonconference). Iowa is not going away anytime soon so that will always be a tough game. Instead of finding cupcake FCS and midmajor teams, we always go out and find conference contenders and top 10 FCS teams who are used to winning and aren't scared of ISU at all. Not a good strategy.

There really is no reason for either Iowa or ISU to play UNI ... Sure, it's instate ... but no benefit and only hurts either program if it loses to UNI.

Spent 5 mins looking around that place and left wanting to kick whoever CyTwins is in the dick.

They make fun of Iowa fans for saying that playing ISU is lose-lose. They say just beat them and that argument is moot. Do they know what lose-lose means? It means that winning is also a "lose".
