I always enjoy when people use places like North Korea to try and disprove socialism.

Not to mention his choice of South American countries is particularly amusing, since the majority of their problems is caused by the legacy of Colonialism, capitalism run amok!
I always enjoy when people try to preach the good of socialism. Fidel Castro, Mao Zedong, Lenin, and other dictators always enjoyed the preaching of socialism. They also enjoyed brutality and murdering their own people as well.I always enjoy when people use places like North Korea to try and disprove socialism.
Mao is the greatest murderer in history. He let 50 million of his countrymen starve back in the 50's. That's a true barometer of communism.I always enjoy when people try to preach the good of socialism. Fidel Castro, Mao Zedong, Lenin, and other dictators always enjoyed the preaching of socialism. I don't have a problem with Capitalism. But the hand's off unregulated capitalism was proven to be terrible for people in the late 19th century and early 20th century.
If you really think that's a good idea you either already have a ton of money that you don't have to worry about being exploited or you simply are ignoring the history of the exploitation of workers.
Those children were free to seek other employment!![]()

Most socialists are happy to vote for tax increases that they and others in their bracket will all have to pay.

Who's making the argument for unregulated capitalism?
I have seen no pro-lais·sez-faire arguments here.
That picture is wrong on both sides. The socialist would see it as gluttony...the capitalist doesnt really care as long as they get theirs.
So the socialist is jealous and the capitalist is indifferent and worried about taking care of their own problems? That picture is wrong on both sides. The socialist would see it as gluttony...the capitalist doesnt really care as long as they get theirs.
We have a mixed economy...the question is where the line is drawn...
You don't meet a whole lot of absolutists either way.
The only thing OP is missing is a picture of Jonathan Gruber. OP has seriously become a rich man's version of sijoint.
I don't know of any socialists who begrudge anyone a house like that.

I've lived in and near Berkeley, California for over 20 years. How many Socialists do you know?
I don't know of any socialists who begrudge anyone a house like that.
I don't know of any capitalists who are willing to pay the carpenters, electricians, plumbers and lawn care people enough to be able to afford that house.
You are a typical conservative who wants to deceive.

This was the original picture:Any capitalist would be willing to pay those people what the market is for their services. If the market doesn't allow for the carpenters, etc. to live in the house they want, they are free to pursue work that does. Or not.
You are a typical liberal who wants to eliminate personal accountability.

And natural resources played no role whatsoever.People who fear capitalism are the people who are too lazy to get involved in it. I'd also like to point out that America in less than 300 yrs time became the most prosperous and most powerful economy in the world due to capitalism.
