This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

I have wondered about this.

They can start by seizing every nickel owned by Russian oligarchs held outside Russia. Take their real estate and personal property too.
Also seems well past the time to cancel all visas for any Russian abroad and send them all back. I'm not sure why any Russian citizen is allowed in Europe or the US anymore. Without real pressure on and from the top of Russian society, this meat grinder will continue on unabated.

I did not know this was a method to train tankers-glass turret!

"Soldat learn to drive the #Leopard 2 at the #SKB in Munster. The#Leopard#NATO partner receives the weapon systems because he gave up his #Panzer T-72 to the thus provides effective support for the fight of #Ukraine .

So I had not really paid much attention or had noticed impacts to Twitter since Musk took over but I now have to say, over the last week I am noticing this war and the folks I was getting news from have suddenly stopped showing up and I now have to look for the news sources. Very interesting and I would say troubling. I just scrolled through a ton of content and not one thing. Anyone else notice this happening?

Can you be more specific?

Meaning specific independent reporters? Their cities are being bombed and they are losing power for 95% of the day. Even in Kiev. Tweeting isn’t as easy without electricity and internet access. When the generators get to where they need to be and installed there should be improved coverage.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday announced an international aid pakage of more than €100 million for Moldova during a summit in Paris. The small EU-friendly democracy is facing an economic and humanitarian crisis with the onset of winter and risks being further destabilised by the Ukraine conflict.

A nation of 2.6 million people that lies between Ukraine and Romania, Moldova has felt the effects of rising food and energy prices and has taken in more refugees per head than any other nation.

The country has seen its energy deliveries from Russia slashed in half – hindering its ability to supply enough electricity to its people.

Moldova's President Maia Sandu, who held talks with Macron, warned the country risks running out of gas and electricity this winter, with gas prices rising 600 percent in the last year.

"We need to help its population to hold out," French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna told journalists in Paris before the meeting of 35 mostly Western countries, including the United States and 15 international institutions.

Yep, something has to change at the top of the Russian command structure.

It almost has to be a combination of Putin going away and the oligarchs losing some power.

And it would help if the Russian people got pissed enough to actually do something.

“Why are there those who want to the strong man”

What? One can only wonder what entity created this garbage and for what purpose? Do they speak English as a primary language? Doubtful.

In reality:

“Elon Musk is not the only defense-industry exec who showed up for the Space Force’s first change-of-command ceremony. But the SpaceX founder and controversial new owner of Twitter was the only one who got a by-name call out from the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

“What he symbolizes, in reality, is the combination of the civil and military cooperation and teamwork that makes the United States the most powerful country in space. So, Elon, thank you for making yourself present here today,” Gen. Mark Milley said during the Wednesday ceremony at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, D.C.”

Sweden says Russia did it.

This is just his opinion. Sweden hasn't confirmed Russia did it. His argument is pretty unconvincing. If they knew Russia didn’t do it they would probably keep that possibility open.. like they're doing now. He didn’t offer a motive. Why would Russia blow up their own pipeline that cost $12b+? They could just turn it off and keep that possibility open for negotiation leverage. He may turn out to be right but at this point it's just conjecture on his part.

Even God Wants Russia to Burn

MOSCOW (AP) — Towering clouds of ash and glowing lava are spewing from two volcanoes on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula and scientists say major eruptions could be on the way.

The peninsula, which extends into the Pacific Ocean about 6,600 kilometers (4,000 miles) east of Moscow, is one of the world’s most concentrated areas of geothermal activity, with about 30 active volcanoes.

The sudden new activity followed a strong earthquake on Saturday, news reports said.

The Russian Academy of Sciences’ vulcanology institute said that at Klyuchevskaya Sopka, which at 4,754 meters (nearly 16,000 feet) is Eurasia’s tallest active volcano, as many as 10 explosions an hour were being recorded.

There are some weird things hitting the homepage we have at work. Just a hint, but if you see anything from the Hindustan Times, it's pro Putin BS, most likely.
With the battlefield losses mounting, I am sure that Russia is ramping up their efforts to crack the Western alliance. It's their best hope right now.
