This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Russia's economy is imploding!

That's nice.

It's going to be a tough winter in Russia. They have gas to keep the lights on and the furnaces going, but they are suffering mightily from sanctions. Unemployment is surging, daily essentials are growing scarce, and Putin's reaction is to clamp down even tighter. It's going to be a powder keg in 1-2 months.

All they need to do is overthrow Putin and get a moderate leader.

Easier said than done but it's simple.

The Turks have been fence sitting a little bit since Russia invaded, but this is a middle finger to Putin, and the Turks know that the Russian military isn't going to be able to do much to stop this ship from docking and providing power. And, if they did attack it, they'd piss off the Turks who they need now, and will desperately need when it comes to try and negotiate their way out of this mess.

Not exactly the best reference when it comes to this war, since the Finns did then ally themselves with Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union.
Problematic but considering they were invaded by the Soviet Union understandable. "The enemy of my enemy" dynamic. Finland was in a no win situation...

That said....being aligned with Nazi Germany leaves a mark.

A lot of Ukrainians fought for the Nazi's as well. Once again....understandable considering Stalin killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. History can be complicated.

The US being allied with the Soviet Union in WW2 follows the same dynamic....Soviet Union was full of suck....but the Nazi's sucked more.

I gave it a like. Was not sure between that and a frown.
I pretty much just "like" everything regardless of real feeling (and sometimes I like posts as a thank you for reporting even if I don't like the content)... I'd be honored if anyone took the time to analyze whether I liked, frowned or laughed at something...

I do use the laugh when something is really funny.

Now, we only need ~413 KIA per day to hit 100k by end of the day on Christmas Day
Numbers are running "hot" these days.
Yeah-reading between the numbers when seeing how little actual equipment is being hit, you get the feel these poor mobilized bastards are just dying by the bucketful in their crappy dug holes and trenches as drones, artillery and other weapons take them out. It makes no sense.

I feel the same way. They either get shot for retreating, pulverized if they stay put, or surrender. And, it might actually be quite difficult to surrender these days, without getting shot in the back by your own team. But . . . they have not surrendered and you don't know who is who, and they won't leave, so death for them it is.

Turkey has been part of NATO since 1952. Russians wouldn't dare touch them.
