This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Does that actually move the needle?

(Reuters) - At least 400,000 Yemeni children under 5 could die of starvation this year without urgent intervention amid soaring rates of severe malnutrition driven by war and the coronavirus pandemic, four U.N. agencies said on Friday.

We’re actively aiding and abetting the Saudi Kingdom in this slaughter.
Thanks, Obama.
?...do you have any other material? This is getting a little threadbare.

I can only imagine the shame that the decent Russians living abroad must feel. Getting an unfettered look at what Putin says to the world and then what he does.

Britain actually gets even better war coverage than we do. BBC, Sky, and Al Jazeera all have boots on the ground in the most dangerous places. Russians living in the UK can see exactly what Russia is doing.
You got that right. Remember the days of Dan Rather showing us how Stingers worked in Afghanistan circa 1980?

Now tell me, of the slate of CNN, MSNBC, or Fox primetime hosts, which could you envision doing something like that today?

...and please don't say Anderson Cooper.

I'm guessing the countries are those that already announced they wouldn't take anything anyways.

Should we wait until the death toll hits a million?
Would that make the 'material' (great euphemism for dead kids, BTW) more interesting?
Is that the time to ask our government to quit helping the Saudi dictatorship and their invasion?

Clarissa Ward is legit, and CNN had people going to battle spots.

The most important coverage of this war came from Sky when they were ambushed and the Russians kept shooting after they identified themselves as journalists. A war crime in real time.

Is stopping the war in Yemen contingent in ANY way on what's occurring in Ukraine? Your constant deflections can only be construed as an attempt to conflate those issues to excuse Putin. It's a classic "Well, we do the same thing". You should stop. Or start a new thread. This makes you look like a Russian sympathizer. Maybe you are. If so, just say it...the hints you keep dropping are tantalizing murky.

I appreciate your passion, but is there any reason you can't limit your thoughts on all things Saudi Arabia to a Saudi Arabia thread? That way people who want to read what you have to say about Saudi Arabia can find it in the Saudi Arabia thread. Another benefit is that the people who don't care to read what you have to say about Saudi Arabia won't have to skip over it when trying to read about Ukraine in a Ukraine thread.

If you're capable of doing that, I'm sure people will be willing to give you attention as a show of appreciation.

still ducking the questions
Did you pay any attention to what the German politician said?
I don’t care a whit about a hashtag. Never paid attention to it.
Is this one of those things where if you forward a piece information some people assume that can only mean 100% alignment with the information in question?

For example, if your college professor explains the rationale Hitler laid out, and then followed, in his path to war, is your assumption the person relaying this information to you not only endorses Hitler’s reasons, but probably flies the swastika at home?

Are you that simple?

This is the third time you've posted the exact same post in this thread. JFC. Get new material at least.

Authoritarian country A invades country B, killing thousands, with the goal of installing a puppet regime.
Authoritarian country X invades country Y, killing thousands, with the goal of installing a puppet regime.

Which one do you support?

When I see the U.S. doing the same kind of shit that Putin is doing, my thought isn't, "I shouldn't talk about that." My thought is, "I don't want my country doing Putin-type shit!"
I don't scrape to justify it, I can readily acknowledge it is wrong.
Most people here can't seem to bring themselves to do it.
Or they support it, despite the cost being measured in the 10s of thousands of innocent civilian lives.

Those same people probably wonder why a majority in Russia still supports Russia's invasion. They're blind to what it is doing, and they buy their government's excuse to keep doing it.

Phenom keeps making the same mistake.
Get him to answer the questions, and I'll quit posting them in response to his same mistake.

The German pol actually goes over what lead us to this point.
Phenom might learn something watching it, but he got triggered by a hashtag.
Likely accurate but you cannot make a horse drink. If he wants to remain ignorant let him. There will be time for history lessons but this thread is about live, current, events. I've done it myself, nothing personal, just let it go.

Is there some international inspection team that monitors this stuff?

Are the Russian nukes verified?

Just asking, because the way their on the ground military seems to be operating...
Valid. I said about 25 pages ago I have about 95% confidence Russia couldn't get a nuke to main land USA if they had 3 pit stops.
