This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Does that actually move the needle?

(Reuters) - At least 400,000 Yemeni children under 5 could die of starvation this year without urgent intervention amid soaring rates of severe malnutrition driven by war and the coronavirus pandemic, four U.N. agencies said on Friday.

We’re actively aiding and abetting the Saudi Kingdom in this slaughter.

I find it surprising/extremely disappointing, that some corporations haven’t halted doing business in Russia until they found themselves on a “bad” list.

Talk about CEOs having no conscience.…not halting business in Russia, absent public pressure, is clear evidence of that.

But mah shareholderrrrrrrrrrrrrrssssssssss

Is Pepsi one of the last standing? I thought I heard they do 3 billion a year in Russia, although I am not entirely sure of that figure

How do they plan to get paid / capital out of the country anyways?? there are financial sanctions on the major banks. Getting customers to pay in rubles is worthless now anyways!

Why do you keep derailing the thread with these bullshit lies? The Saudis, US, and UN back the government. The Houthi rebels are backed by Iran. We should join the Saudis and UN by bombing the rebels once the Ukraine War is over. Once the Houthis put down their Iranian supplied arms, civilians in the occupied areas will stop suffering. Even Russia backs the UN-supported government:

UN Security Council Extends Arms Embargo to All Houthis

The arms embargo previously applied only to some leaders of the Houthi rebels in Yemen. Russia voted to extend the embargo despite its ties with Iran, which backs the Houthis (Al Jazeera).

Hi 9-1-1, I'd like to report a murder.

Those poles aren't so dumb after all. Very clever of them to basically say that they're not going to put their asses on the line for introducing them into the theater. They'll supply them, but we have to introduce them. And particularly to announce it that way without (according to one article) necessarily having the us on board with that plan.

Similarly, i just saw that Hungary is a no-go on russian oil sanctions, which i guess makes sense if they're your largest oil supplier.

micro-fissures at the edges. we are at a delicate juncture.
My guess is that the aircraft will go back to Poland or Romania after retrofit and the Ukrainians will come and get them there.

Oh it’s on now. Starbucks is out, so you know it’s about to get real.

Annoying me this is taking so long -- they are planes FFS, fly them!

(I know, I know it's more complicated than that, just sayin'.)

Not to get too political, but we’re going to need to stop the point-scoring politics if we’re going to succeed in breaking Putin. This is going to hurt. Gas price increases, poor company earnings, and shortages of products are all on the way.

We need to unify against these war criminals and suck up the negatives. They’re killing kids.
It's temporary, and mostly a minor inconvenience for most of us.

Paying an extra $10-15 to gas up doesn't bother me a bit, if I know it's helping push Putin out of power.

Dude.....he said "Nazis"

A poem from a Russian soldier to his mother. Written in a Ukrainian hospital
Mom, I'm a prisoner but don't cry. I was broken now I’m new. I was treated by a Kherson doctor. I’m so tired. They treated me. Can you believe that? I fired from Gradov. Half the hospital was rubble…
but he treated me: "because you’ need attention."
Mom, I'm a monster, I'm sorry. In the constant lies we got lost. All my life I have to bear this cross. Now my eyes are open. We were taken to places to attack. Where did the shells land? What have we done with Kherson!
The hospitals are full of wounded. Everyone here curses Russians. A father, turned whiter than a sheet, shakes his dead child
Mother, I am a monster, an executioner. There are no terrorists here. There is only sad cries. And we are the ones who are more terrible than the Nazis.
We, mother, we were sent to slaughter. The battalion commander had no remorse. Then a Kherson man shouted to me: “Stop! Get down!" and do you know what, mother? He didn't want to shoot me. He is human and I a killer. Do you hear, mother, I am a murderer, I spilled their blood!
Mom, I'm a prisoner, but don't cry. Damned, but now like new. I was treated by a Kherson doctor Tired, strict and harsh. He did medical duty. Now I, burning with shame, can finally think for the first time, I could think: Who needs a war like this?

According to reports today, we’re not aiding and abetting anybody. Saudi Arabia and the EAU won’t even take Biden’s calls because we don’t support their action in Yemen.

Of course, but most Americans can shoulder this burden for the common goal. I really feel like we are at a critical juncture in history and this opportunity should not slip away this time. Perhaps I'm naïve in thinking so, but let's see how this plays out, despite the financial pain it incurs.

Low and middle class are getting hammered by inflation. Those with arms might be in for a shock soon also.
I have a couple customers who had unions sign longterm deals in 19-20. They are irate.

I understand, I'm hoping this is all transitory and short-lived but it's hard to deny that as the global pandemic finally seems to be retreating, we now have a full-fledged war knocking on the damn front door and it couldn't come at a worse time. Talk about terrible timing!

Just…wow. Had no idea that was taking place in the U.S. But, our true freedom of speech is a major factor in what helps make the U.S. the best country in the world.

These guys get up each morning, freely spread their bullsh*t, with no worry of our version of the KGB rounding them up and sentencing them to 15 years in a gulag.
Missouri has a station broadcasting Russian propaganda too. Just when you thought Missouri couldn’t be any shittier.
