This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

....uh.....what's Russia got left to target them with?
Seriously.
This was what I was thinking. They know Russia has spent huge amounts of their military force losing to Ukraine. All they have left is the nuke card, which would be their undoing completely.

I really am puzzled by the calculus involved in grabbing guys in Russia, giving them no training, inadequate equipment, and throwing them into the front line. It speaks to a disregard of human life and incredible desperation that Russia must have had to simply delay the inevitable. It will also be their downfall. The news of cruel and needless deaths mere days after leaving home is beginning to spread and finally wake the masses I feel.

It's precisely what your buddy said. And one of them just malfunctioned and crashed into apartment buildings.
Post the entire quote then...
We know you love to pick and choose words out of context, but u fortunately for you, that's not how intelligent people read and comprehend.

And they are already in a demographic spiral from low birth rates. They are f——ed, generationally.

It still freaks me out how much Ukraine countryside looks like Iowa. This could be off of Highway 20 lol.
Not sure how I remember it, but back in 1995 when I was doing work in Midwest for a pesticide groundwater study where we needed help from farmers to allow us to put monitoring wells on their land, I remember meeting a farmer in Muscatine Iowa who had pictures on his wall from a trip to Ukraine. They had some sort of exchange trip where they were teaching them how to farm with modern methods and equipment. Some of them came to his and other farms in Iowa too.
