I'm really hoping OP was being somewhat sarcastic in a fun way and not trying to make it sound like this was his idea because it definitely was a viral post on FB earlier this week and has already been established that it's happening
Only if they play Biggie's Hypnotize... but that might not be the shot that ABC will be looking for when they air the whole thing after the commercial break.
My guess is 1st quarter will be over somewhere close to 7:00 with commercials and stoppage and such.

Sunset is right at 7:00 Saturday. First quarter will end probably 7:10-15. It'll be dark enough to look pretty cool.
I am sorry if I was stealing someone's idea. I just saw today a clip from Providence R.I. where they do that at 8:30 pm. It's called lights out and all kinds of people, including the police department and fire department lights, take out flashlights and light up the sky for the kids at the hospital. I posted the links to that story in another one of my recent ramblings.
Oh, cuz I went on a bike ride last night and at 7 it wasn't THAT dark. For this to work at its best, it'd be best if it's basically pitch black. If OSU game is at night that's a perfect time to do it again if this fails
