Thoughts from inside CHA today

Come on dude. Manning is animated, but doesn't compare remotely with Terry when it comes to looking and acting ridiculous, or whining. Tom used to be that way as well, but has grown up a lot. If you loved and followed any other team besides the Hawks, you would feel like the rest of us do about that. I knew Terry when he was in Lincoln, and often wondered just where some of that came from.He's a tough sob on the mat, but his antics are interesting to say the least.

I wont make excuses for MM, but when you have to come to CHA, and get the treatment teams do, and have to live with the calls, it would be hard to keep your cool.

Do us and yourself a favor: if you're going to come on here, bash our staff for its actions and justify the actions of your coach, at least don't contradict yourself in the process. You lose all credibility by doing that.

PS. "When you have to come to Iowa"???? Most wrestlers can't wait to wrestle at Iowa and compete in front of a huge crowd. Where most other crowds(including yours), could be wrestled a decent sized high school gym. Come on brother, wake up

Thought Berger handled himself well, in spite of his stupid twitter war. After shaking hand with Kemmerer, he went directly to the Hawkeye bench and shook each coach's hand. No monkey business from him.

I noticed that Tom sent Terry away from the bench at the end of Kemmerer's match. Terry was not matside to shake Berger's hand.

I was at State Duals yesterday and was watching Costello from WD wrestle against Prairie. Brent Metcalf is an assistant for Prairie. Sometime during the first period Brent becomes pretty animated and gets on the mat and does a headstand like Terry. I bought the link on Trackwrestling to watch todays matches. There was also a link of the Costello match. Not the greatest pic but who has the better handstand? Terry or Brent?

Its bums me out when people don't stay for the Senior day presentation as well. I feel like the kids that never got to wear a Hawkeye singlet in Carver but busted their a$$ for 5 years in the room need their moment in the spotlight. The studs get plenty of attention in their career, but to me, Senior Day is about the room guys.

Not sure if there were not any "senior room guys", but, there were no introductions of seniors other than the five starters. No other seniors were introduced during the senior day ceremony.

Maybe it is excuses, but I dont think so. BTW, I didn't 'come on here' to bash anyone, and started a thread to discuss the dual, which I thought I had done.

When I brought up the Brands , it was in response to a Hawkeye fan first calling Manning a whiner, and I simply stated both Brands act as bad, or worse, but that Tom had gotten way better. The tape in the corner, and the coaches 'need to stay here' rules changes were made in response to guys like them whose inability to control themselves, made in necessary. I just like to talk wrestling, and dont really have an avenue for it on any Husker board, and came over because our teams were going to meet.

I left after Brooks....had 5 year old and 7 year old grandsons with me and they were starting to wrestle in the stands....ready to go....got halfway back to truck and remembered it was senior day....I felt terrible.....they should do pre dual like football does

It's a team sport & your team shit the bed. Just like your football team shit the bed last November. It doesn't matter how you sugarcoat it. If all you got is bragging that your guy beat an injured wrestler, & then lost a team point for being a total douchebag, your program is in a pretty bad state.
