Two games does not make a trend or a season but there have been 3 areas where the Hawks have played substantially better than they did a year ago.
1. Guard play on the line has really stepped up. Yes the tackles are young but the interior of the line is really doing a nice job for the most part. Not flawless but a big step forward from 2014.
2. The linebackers are able to play in space and make tackles. Last year we were out of position and not fast/strong enough to make the play. So far so good.
3. Punt team. The new formation really makes it tough for an opposing player to get out in space. Dillion has done a nice job kicking the ball high and not out kicking the coverage as well.
Now it is early and injuries could still derail us but a nice move forward so far.
