Throwback Thursday: 2000, #18 NW @ Iowa

Always enjoyed whoever did the throwbacks last year. Since we haven't had one this year, it seems like a good time.

In November 2000, Northwestern was in contention for a Rose Bowl bid and they visited the 2-8 Hawkeyes, fresh off a victory in Happy Valley.

At 3:30, you can see a much skinnier Bielema for a split second. Around 8:45, you'll see Dallas Clark...on defense.

Lots of people point to the tail of that season as the turning point for the Hawks under Ferentz.

I could be wrong but I believe this is the KCRG 9.2 Hawkeye Classics game this Saturday at 9am.

I remember listening to it on the radio fishing on the Mississippi - one of the happiest wins during my lifetime.
